Their two farms are nestled in the area of the country called the "Golden Coffee Belt" for it's rich soil and advantageous micro-climate. Mario uses innovative horticulture and processing methods to continually explore the possibilities of speciality coffee. The family grows their business with the community in mind, making generous donations to benefit local education. They also allow smaller coffee producers to grow food crops on Calera land, helping the farmers maximize their coffee harvest.
